About Pet Food Clarity

Experience from more than one side of the pet industry.

Founder Cherish Martello brings more than three decades of professional experience across the animal and pet industries, including veterinary technical work, external sales, manufacturing sales, distribution, product education, and retailer relationships.

That background is translated into straightforward consumer education — not brand pressure, fear-based marketing, or medical diagnosis.

For pet parents who feel overwhelmed.
Decode ingredients, labels, formats, and manufacturer claims.
For people comparing commercial foods.

For practical decision-makers.

For clients who want independent guidance.
No product inventory, no pet food sales, and no manufacturer commission at launch.

Common Questions I Can Help With

Questions pet parents ask every day.

“What do these ingredients actually mean?”
“Is expensive food always better?”
“How do I compare these three foods?”
“Should I feed kibble, canned, fresh, freeze-dried, or a combination?”
“What should I look for as my dog or cat gets older?”
“How much am I actually spending per day?”
Before Your Consultation

What I’ll ask you.

To make your time useful, you’ll be asked for information such as:

Pet name, species, breed/mix, age, weight and activity level
Current food brand and exact formula, food type and amount fed
Treats, toppers, supplements and previous foods
Your three most important nutrition questions
Budget, preferred places to shop, formats or ingredients you prefer to avoid
Medical background only to determine whether your questions are appropriate for an educational consultation or should be referred to a veterinarian
FAQ

Know exactly what this service is — and what it is not.

Are you a veterinarian or veterinary nutritionist?

No. Pet Food Clarity Consulting provides consumer education and general pet nutrition information. The service does not establish a veterinarian-client-patient relationship and does not replace care from a licensed veterinarian.

Can you diagnose food allergies or medical conditions?

No. Diagnosing disease, allergies, intolerances, unexplained symptoms, or medical conditions is outside the scope of this service.

Can you formulate a homemade or therapeutic diet?

No. Homemade diet formulation, therapeutic diet formulation, treatment-focused supplement dosing, and medical nutrition are outside the service scope.

Can you compare foods from different brands?

Yes. Commercial foods can be discussed using product labels, ingredient statements, guaranteed analyses, nutritional adequacy statements, publicly available manufacturer information, and information you provide.

What if my veterinarian has prescribed a specific diet?

Your veterinarian’s recommendation takes priority for medical and therapeutic nutrition. Pet Food Clarity Consulting will not advise you to discontinue or modify a veterinarian-prescribed therapeutic diet.

Do you sell pet food or receive commissions?

The launch model is independent: no pet food inventory and no manufacturer commissions. The purpose is education, not selling a product.
